Mishimasaiko

Mishimasaiko, directed by Aude Danset is an award-winning independent animation which relied on heavy outline processing for its visual design. Benoit Delaunay was the Nuke artist of this short. We (artixels) offered temporary licenses of Escher as a modest support of this artistic project.

Outlines processed using ‘aaOp’ and Benoit’s custom gizmos

The analytical antialiasing plug-in ‘aaOp’ of Escher for Nuke was heavily used to antialias the unfiltered lines of 8K images of Benoit’s custom workflow. We were told our aaOp plug-in had been rock solid stable.
